Our biggest product update yet is live

Over the past few months, we’ve been rebuilding Priceyourpainting around one simple idea: an estimate should not just give you a number, but help you understand your painting’s value, explain why that value makes sense, and guide you on what to do next.

That is why we redesigned the website, improved the estimation experience, and introduced new features built specifically for artists who want clearer, more useful pricing guidance.

Estimate+ is now live

Estimate+ is the new version of what we previously called the Report, but it goes beyond a downloadable PDF. With Estimate+, you can now unlock a deeper appraisal experience directly on your estimation page, so instead of only receiving a final document, you can explore the reasoning behind your painting’s value in a clearer and more complete way.

It helps you understand the story behind the estimate: the market data, the comparable artworks, the value factors, and the logic used to define the price range. You also receive a professional PDF version of the appraisal, ready to save, print, or share with galleries, buyers, collectors, or anyone who needs a more complete view of your work.

Selling cards

Pricing is only one part of the journey, because once artists receive an estimate, the next question is usually what to do with that information. That is why we introduced Selling cards.

Selling cards suggest practical selling directions based on your painting, its value range, and its market positioning. They are designed to help you understand where your artwork could fit best, whether that means selling directly, exploring online platforms, approaching galleries, or positioning the work more carefully before offering it to collectors.

The goal is not to tell every artist to do the same thing, but to make the next step clearer, more realistic, and more useful.

A redesigned estimation page

We redesigned the estimation page to make the result easier to understand and more useful after the price appears. Your painting, description, valuation range, selling guidance, and appraisal insights now live together in one clearer page, helping you move from “this is the estimated value” to “this is why it may be worth this amount, and this is what I can do next.”

This is an important shift for us, because we do not want Priceyourpainting to be a tool that gives you a number and disappears. We want it to support the full pricing journey, from understanding the artwork to preparing it for the market.

A refreshed website

We also redesigned the wider Priceyourpainting website to explain more clearly what we do, why we built the platform, and how our valuation experience works. As part of this, we added a new About page to tell the story behind Priceyourpainting: why pricing art is still so difficult for emerging artists, why access to market data matters, and why we believe artists deserve better tools to understand and protect the value of their work.

Our mission remains the same: we protect the artist, to elevate art. The new website simply makes that mission clearer.

A better portfolio experience

Your Portfolio has also been updated, so saved estimations are now easier to find, revisit, and use. If you unlock Estimate+, your deeper appraisal insights stay connected to your painting, meaning you can come back to them whenever you need.

This is especially useful if you are building a body of work, preparing for a sale, applying to opportunities, or simply trying to understand how your pricing evolves over time.

One Estimate+ on us

To celebrate this launch, we are giving every registered artist a coupon to unlock one Estimate+ completely free. Use the code NEWPRICE2026 at checkout.

We want you to try the new experience properly: open an estimate, explore the selling cards, unlock the deeper appraisal insights, and see how the professional PDF can help you present your work more clearly to buyers, galleries, or collectors.

This is also the best way for us to keep improving Priceyourpainting. Your feedback has shaped this update, and it will continue to shape what we build next.

Why we made these changes

We built these updates because artists kept telling us the same thing in different ways: they did not only want a price. They wanted to understand whether the price felt right, how their work compared to the market, what they could do next, and how to use that information when speaking with buyers, galleries, or collectors.

That is what we are trying to build with Priceyourpainting: a clearer, smarter, and more practical valuation experience for artists. Not guesswork, not gatekeeping, but a better way to understand the value of your work.

Try the new Priceyourpainting

The new website is now live, and Estimate+ is available on your next painting valuation. Create a new estimate, explore the new selling guidance, and use your coupon to unlock one Estimate+ for free.

We are still building, testing, and improving, so your feedback matters a lot. If you try the new experience, tell us what you think: what feels useful, what feels unclear, and what you would like us to improve next.
